Assurance of salvation P2

If you were to die tonight or today, how sure are you that you will spend eternity with God? How sure are you that you will go to heaven?

This are the question we should ask oneself. We don’t need to be holy than thaa! Or perfect to receive Christ. We usually say this phrase “I am not ready” or “I need to think about it” or “I will do it later” and “I’m still young, I’m still figuring stuff out. Or I will do it when I’m old” [receiving Jesus as our Lord and savior]. We tend to do this because we are afraid that we will lose our freedom, and afraid of the truth or being exposed, some of us feel overwhelmed. I want to tell you its okay, we all feel that way, and I felt this even after I made the confession (check out my previous blog post assurance of salvation P1).  He said come as you are, Mathew 11:28-30 “come to Me, all of you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 All of you, take up My yoke and learn from Me, because I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for yourselves. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light “. He does not leave us the way we are he mold us, changes us, guide us, and etc. John 16:8 When He comes, He will convict the world about sin, righteousness, and judgement.

1John 1:9 if we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 

John 10:11-18, 27-30 “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. 12 The hired man, since he is not the shepherd and doesn’t own the sheep, leaves them   and runs away when he sees a wolf coming. The wolf then snatches and scatters them. 13This happens because he is a hired man and doesn’t care about the sheep. 14“I am the good shepherd. I know My own sheep, and they know Me, 15 as the Father knows Me, and I know the Father. I lay down My life for the sheep. 16 But I have other sheep that are not of this fold; I must bring them also, and they will listen to My voice. Then there will be one flock, one shepherd.  17 This is why the Father loves Me, because I am laying down My life so I may take it up again. 18 No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down on My own. I have the right to lay it down, and I have the right to take it up again. I have received this command from My Father.”

27 My sheep hear My voice, I know them, and they follow Me. 28 I give them eternal life, and they will never perish — ever! No one will snatch them out of My hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all. No one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. 30 The Father and I are one.”
He is the good shepherd, and he lay down his life for his sheep. Not only that He won’t let His sheep scatter nor allow the wolf to snatch the sheep. When one is missing he goes looking for the one. In verse 28 he said he gives them eternal life, and they will never perish. And this is His promise and God is faithful, He is not like man He always keeps His promises. So what does this mean? It means that to those who believes in Him have this gift of God which is eternal life. 
1John 5:11-13 And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. 12 The one who has the Son has life. The one who doesn’t have the Son of God does not have life. 13 I have written these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life.
Jesus laid down His life for us, for our sins, His blood washes away our sins completely, the sins we have committed in the past, present, and the one we are going to commit in future. Let us all turn away from self or worldy and turn to God, receive Jesus. Don’t be afraid He is the comforter, He is peace, He is love, He is truth, and so much more.

Hebrews 13:5 Your life should be free from the love of money. Be satisfied with what you have, for He Himself has said, ” I will never leave you or forsake you”.
He will never leave nor forsake us.

John 6:39– This is the will of Him who sent Me: that I should lose none of those He has given Me but should raise them up on the last day.
So ask yourself this question again, if you were to die today, how sure are you that you would spend eternity with God?
And suppose you are standing before God and He asked you, “Why should I let you into heaven?” what would you say? (Hint: apply His word)

ASSORANCE OF SALVATION P1

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord- Romans 6:23
How I had overcome my anxiety or Fear of going to hell or being distant from my Father {I spoke about this in my previous post My Testimony p1} – to be honest I don’t know what to call this fear or anxiety, I have fear or anxiety in parts of my life. I didn’t know I had this different kinds of fear, I knew I had one or two, last year 2019 i had discovered that I have anxiety, it is because I was exposed to a new environment, an unconfutable situation, I was far away from my comfort zone, far away from what sims common. I learned that I have “PTSD OR C-PTSD” and is caused by childhood experience. (I will write more about this throughout CathJournal) Now I know what they were complaining about back home.
How I overcome the thought of I need to be perfect and holy to be a follower of Jesus Christ, how I overcome the thoughts of no matter what I do I’m going to burn in hell, the thought that my Heavenly Father is very disappointed in me, that he will never forgive me. The thought that I am the biggest sinner in the world and I deserve to suffer, to die. Romans 3:23- for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. I was forced to believe all this things, my situation, my weakness, my personality and the fact that I was different, my loved ones this were the things that force me to believe all this, this were and some still my wilderness. I was young and I needed guidance and support as I walked through the wilderness (Mathew 4:1 AMPC), I didn’t have anyone, Jesus was my only strength and comfort the only one I had. Why? Why didn’t I walk away, knowing that no matter what you do your going to burn in hell? why didn’t you join the rest who gave up and look elsewhere for comfort? Why didn’t you join the rest of your1 peers and ‘live life to the fullest’? Why did you keep on pressing on? This are some of the questions some might ask, and are also questions I asked myself. I kept pressing because I believed that at the end my pressing on will produce oil. Its because it hurts me going against my Father, it hurts me hurting him, the one who loves me most in this world, the one who loves me more than the people I loved most in the world (Ezekiel 16: 4-14 read). It’s because I loved Him, and He loved me.
Last year I joined a group called Acts29, they taught us how to witness to others, the taught us the one verse witness, which is the verse above, and study1(we have 8 studies) which is the Assurance of salvation, this two lessons chased away this thoughts and fear, it’s something I would love to share with you.
Romans 6:23- For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord
Mankind
*wage – is payment it, its earned
*sin- is going your own way doing the things that is against God’s will.
*death – two type-spiritual and physical
We talk about spiritual death which is the separation from God

God
*Gift- is freely given, you do not need to work for it
*God- he is just, Holy, perfect, without sin, loving, caring etc.
*eternal life- everlasting life. Is having a relationship with God, a connection with him

We are all sinners, even good people . (1John 1:8 if we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and truth is not in us.) and we have to pay for our sins because God is a God of Justice . When a person breaks the law e.g. Stealing, they have to pay for their wrong doing, just like us we have wronged God, but if a person comes and pays bail for you the Judge will set you free because your debt have been paid. God is pure holy and perfect, our sins are not, it’s like oil and water they don’t mix, so God and sin don’t clutch. So our sins separates us from God, but God is a loving God a loving Father John3:16 For God so love the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. God gave us a gift the only thing you have to do to get this gift is to receive it, which is eternal life through His son Jesus Christ. John 14:6 Jesus told him,” I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. Jesus is a bridge that connects us to God, we have this gift of God which is eternal life, when we receive, and believe in Jesus. John 3:36 whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on him.” (John5:24 read). Jesus Christ is the only way to God, even if you do good deeds, giving, and etc., if you haven’t received Jesus as your Lord and savior, you don’t have this gift which God has blessed us with. Why Jesus? Jesus was the perfect Lamb, he had no sin and he was not like man, he had eternal life (John5:26 read), he has conquered death. His blood washes away our sins, and cleanses us. Psalm 32:1-2 1Blessed I he whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered. 2Blessed is the man whose sin the LORD does not count against him and in whose spirit is no deceit. Yet to all who receive Him, to those who believe in His name, He gave the right to become children of God John 1:12. To receive this gift of God, you have to Admit that you are a sinner, Believe that Jesus Christ has died for you and that he is your Lord and savior, and confess and commit to doing is will.

MY Testimony P1

HEBREWS 3:13-14 Instead, in order that none of you be deceived by sin and become stubborn, you must help one another every day, as long as the word “Today” in the scripture applies to us. 14 For we are all partners with Christ if we hold firmly to the end the confidence we had at the beginning.

I had  Joined a group called Acts29 last year(2019),in this group they teach us how to witness to others, how to disciple. Mathew 28:19-20 (NIV)Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of age. They have taught us about Testimony, how to share your testimony and how important it is. Testimony for believers is sharing your faith, and what God has done in your life, and how he is working in your life, through the little and/or big things in your life. The bible is the testimony of who God is, who the son Jesus is, who the Holy Spirit is, and who we are, who we are as human beings and who we are as children of God.

Mathew 10:32-33 “Therefore, everyone who will acknowledge Me before men, I will also acknowledge him before My Father in heaven. 33 But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father in heaven. It is important as a believer to share your testimony with others, it will encourage them. Sharing our testimonies with one another will strengthen our faith in our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. ROMANS 10:17(KJV) So then faith cameth by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

My testimony is very long, I don’t wish to cut it, but I’m going to share bits and bobs of my testimony throughout CathJournal. Our testimonies, our walk, our journey they are important, not only to ourselves but also to our beloved brothers and sisters. Speaking out and sharing with others, will bring a metamorphism (transformation), encouragement, boldness, comfort, hope, and act. It will encourage them to share, to continue to fight, to keep going, they will know they are not alone. Don’t be afraid to share your story, your story will play a part in someone else’s life ( the smallest thing can make a difference, even the things we thought are meaningless) . You might see it as meaning less, as nothing, but it is meaningful or will be meaningful in someone else’s life. Philippians 1:14 Because of my chains, most of the brothers in the Lord have been encouraged to speak the word of God more courageously and fearlessly.

BEFORE I BECAME A BELIEVER

I became a believer at a very young age, my mother use to take us to church with her every Sunday and on special occasions. I was not a fan of church I found it boring, and long, I couldn’t refuse. I heard about God, and about Jesus, that he is the creator and stuff from school, and Sunday schools, and other people, but I didn’t understand I was young.

WHEN I BECAME A BELIEVER

I don’t remember the year or date, and I also don’t remember how old I was, but I remember that I was very young, still in primary school. Our Pastor at my old church was preaching, and each and every time when he preach, he use to always had an Alta call. We were kids, we regularly went to alter calls because we sow other fellow believers proceeding to the front. I remember it was I, my sister, and two little girls we acquainted ourselves with. We told each other that we should go up in front when the Pastor calls for an alter call. We went out in front, it was just the four of us, I didn’t understand why people were not coming up front. On Recent Sunday school lessons they had taught us about being a born again, this lesson registered on my mind in a wrong way. We were told that you except Jesus as your Lord and savior once, and when you do so you should never sin again, like not ever again, if  you do you will proceed to hell. I recalled the lesson when we were up front, and to why a lot of people didn’t respond to the alter call. I started to regret coming up front, but it was too late, I knew in my heart that I was a sinner and that I could not be perfect and holy (I thought you needed to be righteous and holy to be a born again Christian, that’s what I took from the lesson). This was what was playing in my mind, the Pastor prayed for us and said “they are young”, but he made an exception. From that moment the fear I already had accelerated, my fear started when the Sunday school teacher taught us about being a born again.

From there on I struggled (I’ll write about this throughout this blog). When God grabbed my attention, I was still young, very young, I was setting where Sunday school was placed, they were worshiping on stage, they looked like they were connected with God “they were in spirit”, I wanted that, I needed that, I desired that. From there on I wanted to be part of the worship team so I can be close to God, and feel his presence on me. I started attending Sunday school classes consistently, I became obedient to my Sunday school teacher (this was a new one) and his word.

I went to the alter call to receive Jesus Christ as my Lord and savior again, with an understanding when I was 15 years old in a different church. This time I was certain, but I still carried that fear, and I still had the mind set that you need to be perfect and holy, and that you should never sin again.

BEGINNING INTRO

ISAIAH 43:19 See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.

The Lord said I’m making new things, in 2001/10/27 a child was consived, a baby girl they named her morning. She was born and raised in South Africa. She is part of God’s ultimate plan, wonderful and fearfully made. She is created by the image of God. She is a vessel, an instrument, a carrier of the Alta of God, which is the Holy Spirit.  She is the daughter of the most high God, a representative of heaven. Came to do the will and works of the Father, of Jesus. John 5:17 Jesus said to them,” My Father is always at work to this very day, and I, am working”. She spirit and not flesh, “For the Father is Spirit (John 4:24)” trying to live in this flash, in this world. She would love to share with you her story, and walk with you in this Journey, for a church is not a building, but it is a group of believers guarded together in one accord. He told us to pray for one another, love each other, and honor the word of God and keeping his word, to seek his kingdom, to make disciples, and so on. He said the most important command is loving the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind, this is the first and greatest commandment. The second is loving your neighbor as yourself. He doesn’t only want us to love our neighbors but wants us to love our self’s, Love our neighbor the way we love ourselves.

This generation or life it is not getting any batter but it is becoming more and more wicked (Matthew 12:43” when an evil spirit comes out of a man, it goes through and places seeking rest and does not find it. 44 Then it says,’ I will return to the house I left.’ when it arrives, it finds the house unoccupied, swept clean and put in order. 45 Then it goes and takes with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that man is worse than the first. That is how it will be with this wicked generation” (GNT)). Genesis 6:5 ‘And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually (KJV). And his grace is becoming more and more, my advice don’t desire to be the next, but want to be the new, because he is doing new things. You are not a mistake you were made of purpose, for purpose, on purpose. Don’t play anyone’s role, play your role, because if you are playing others who is playing your role. Be an exemplar to other, strive to do good, serving and pleasing the Father. Colossians 3:23Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord not for man (GNT).

In this blog I will be sharing my Testimonies of how God worked and is continuing working in my life, I will be sharing shot stories and series of stories, and I will also be sharing sermons\ lessons He taught me, plus some bible studies and ye!
